Wood Fire

The works shown below have no applied glazes, allowing the beauty of the firing process to take center stage.  Fired either in a single-chambered anagama kiln, or a multi-chambered noborigama kiln, each firing lasting 4-5 consecutive days.  The variety of surface designs and colors are the result of variables such as the placement of the pieces in the kiln, the type of clay used, the number of days fired, and the type of wood used in the firing.
